This June 2025, we’re not just hosting an exhibition; we're celebrating color in all its glory. From splashes of paint, lines of colors, dabs of color, colored fabric, colored lights to digital canvases, COLOR 25 invites you to get creative and immerse yourself in an unparalleled journey of color vibrancy.
Color is the heartbeat of art. It's where the art theory begins, with the color wheel spinning into primary and secondary colors, creating a dance of light and shadow. We pay homage to the legends like Mark Rothko, Joan Miró, and Helen Frankenthaler, whose explorations in Color Field painting revolutionized how we perceive art. Now, it's your turn to push the boundaries even further!

Submission Instructions
1) Select the number of images you would like to submit
2) Press the “Submit Entry Fee” button and you will see a form to enter your contact information and pay the entry fee.
3) AFTER completing payment for the entry fee, you will need to EMAIL your images with information to submissions@3squareart.com. Please note the following formats:
✅ Please include Artwork Information for each image including:
Title
Medium (For example: Oil, Aclylic, Watercolor, Graphite, Charcoal, Mixed Media, Fiber Art, Digital Art, Sculpture, Printmaking, Photography, and etc.)
Dimensions (include BOTH artwork size AND framed size for framed artwork)
Year Created
✅ Image File Naming: Name your image files in this format => FirstLast_Title.jpg. Please do not include any other information in the file name.
✅ Image Size: Images should be less than 5MB each with the longest edge ideally 1800 pixels or more and not less than 1600 pixels
✅ File Format: Save your images in .jpg format

Eligibility
The COLOR 25 competition is open to artists who are at least 18 years old (by the time of entry) submitting original works of art created within the past 3 years.
Each artist may enter up to 5 artworks.
The competition welcomes all media, including painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, printmaking, textiles, and digital art. THE MORE COLOR THE BETTER!
Artworks must be created in the past 3 years (2022-2025); any artworks completed before 2022 will be disqualified. The Entry fee is non-refundable.
There is no size restriction for Entries other than the fact that the piece must be able to fit through a 6ft x 7ft doorway.
All artwork must be original. You warrant that your entry is your original work, which does not infringe on the rights of any third party, and that you have all the rights necessary to submit the entry and is independently created, composed and executed. Artwork that originates from a workshop or a class under the direction of a teacher or instructor is not eligible. No copies from other artists' works or paintings/drawings from other artists' photographs or from published material will be allowed. Source material must be original. For artworks based on reference photographs, eligibility requires that the artists must have taken the photographs (artwork must be created on your own photography).
Artworks that were previously exhibited at the 3 Square Art Gallery are NOT eligible to submit.
Artists who have withdrawn accepted artwork/artworks in any previous exhibitions are not eligible to enter.
The COLOR 25 competition is open to artists who are at least 18 years old (by the time of entry) submitting original works of art created within the past 3 years.
The theme of this exhibit is COLOR. We are seeking works of all media that feature bold and vibrant colors. Color should be central to the work. Show us the most vivid interpretations of color using colorful materials such as rich and luscious paints or pastels/colored pencils, LEDs or electronics, Post-It notes, or any medium where color can shine. All works will be considered from realism to abstraction. Let color speak for you. Make us feel, laugh, cry, or dream through your palette.
